Closed Suction Catheter is a medical device used to remove secretions and other fluids from a patient's Airway to maintain a patent airway and prevent respiratory complications, which has been commonly used in intensive care units, operating rooms,

Structurally, it consists of several parts below.

a flexible tube made from PVC with a transparent PU sleeve outside, the sleeve is to create a closed space to prevent contamination.

a suction control valve, press the button down to have a suction.

2 plastic connectors, one male connector attach to ventilator, and one female connector attach to artificial airways such as Endotracheal Tube, Laryngeal mask airway. Both connectors are made in a standard size, offering them a wide compatibility.

Well, additionally, there are 2 mounted portals, one for flushing purpose with saline, another one for injection of medication in need
