Advantages and disadvantages of oxygen masks and nasal oxygen cannulas
Oxygen masks inhalation method: cover the sick person and inhale oxygen through the nose
Nasal oxygen cannulas inhalation method: insert the nasal oxygen cannula into the top of the nasal cavity to inhale oxygen

The advantages and disadvantages of oxygen masks:

Advantages: 1. No stimulation, used for patients with mouth breathing
                      2. It can provide a relatively constant inhaled oxygen concentration
                      3. Changes in breathing pattern will not change the inhaled oxygen concentration
                      4. Humidable oxygen
                      5. High flow rate gas can promote the exhalation of carbon dioxide in the mask, basically no repeated inhalation of carbon dioxide
                      6. Little irritation to the nasal mucosa
Disadvantages: 1, causing inconvenience to eating and drinking
                           2. The patient has a sense of restraint and occlusion
                           3. May cause respiratory acidosis

The advantages and disadvantages of nasal oxygen cannula:

Advantages:      1, simple, cheap, convenient and comfortable
                          2. Does not affect eating and drinking
Disadvantages: 1. The inhaled oxygen concentration is affected by the tidal volume and flow rate of breathing gas, and the ratio of breathing time
                          2. The nasal oxygen tube is easily blocked
                          3. It is irritating to the local area and can cause dry sputum
                          4. Intolerance
